Transport Canada Quality Control Workshop

Description:

This workshop is designed for aviation security professionals with responsibilities in creating, implementing, maintaining, or enforcing a State National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP) and a National Civil Aviation Quality Control Programme (NCAQCP). This workshop navigates between the requirements and guidance of ICAO, along with the application of these requirements that Canada has taken.

The objective of the workshop is to ensure that participants are able to:

  • Analyze the relevance of a State aviation security (civil aviation) oversight system.
  • Identify tools to assess the effectiveness of the State’s aviation security oversight system, in accordance with ICAO standards.
  • Describe the objectives of the security program and the general framework that inspectors refer to during oversight activities.
  • Carry out quality control activities to confirm that procedures are effective, relevant and appropriately enforced by suitably trained personnel.
  • Describe the types of tests and specify the importance of conducting security tests.
