ICAO Consent Print

The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) conducts audits of all contracting States with a view to determine their compliance with the Standards enshrined in the Annexes to the Chicago Convention. In the past, two audit reports were produced, a full detailed and comprehensive audit report which was confidential to each State, and a second scaled down summary for the public which was displayed on the ICAO website.

The Directors General of Civil Aviation Conference on a Global Strategy for Aviation Safety held at ICAO in March 2006 called for greater transparency and information sharing among States by releasing the audit results to the public. Accordingly, the Conference set the deadline for releasing audit results at 23rd March 2008.

The ECCAA is pleased to advise that in conjunction with the majority of ICAO contracting States, the OECS has given consent for the results of their audit to be made public.
