Looking Ahead 2023 The Office of the Director General is keen to invite the FAA for another IASA, confident of the progress in Airworthiness, Flight Operations, Personnel Licensing, Legislation and Regulations for a Category 1 rating even as we increase the Effective Implementation of the ICAO SARPS in the areas of Aircraft Accident and Serious Incident Investigations, Aerodromes and Ground Aids, Air Navigation Services. We are upgrading our Safety Oversight Systems in the areas of Air Traffic and Aeronautical Information Management, Communications Navigation and Surveillance.
The thrust for this year 2023 are projects with onsite and teleconferencing elements specifically in the new AIG Unit Framework; all new Civil Aviation Regulations for Aerodrome and ANSP Certification and Search and Rescue. The important work in Aviation Security is being deepened with the activity of the newly formed National Civil Aviation Security Coordinators Working Group to effect a harmonized approach for the member States. Industry Focus Meetings These meetings were launched this year and are a regular feature at least twice per year where each Air Operator and Maintenance Organisation is engaged on plans, issues and concerns. International Relations The Eastern Caribbean CAA in recognition of its unique feature of being the CAA for six ICAO Contracting States works in close collaboration with the ICAO NACC Regional Office under the Systemic Assistance Programme and in the period June 2021 to September 2022 have signed to commence Cooperative Arrangements with the DGAC DSAC, DG of France, IATA Regional Office of the Americas and the Secretary General of ICAO.
